How long is this summit?

Friday Lecture 8 am – 5 pm. Saturday Lecture 8 am – 3 pm. Networking events and dinners will be held Friday after the lecture ends

I’m a current HPS member, do I have to pay to attend?

HPS members have special pricing and discounts. Please call 813-303-9216 to secure your seats.

Will accommodations be made for attendees with hearing, visual impairments, mobility challenges, or special dietary needs?

Absolutely, as you complete your registration, you please indicate any special accommodations that you require during the course.

Does the event fee include meals?

The event tuition includes lunch on Friday and Saturday.

Can I transfer my registration to another person if I can’t attend or receive a refund?

Just like any other event or concert, there are no refunds or cancellations if you cannot attend. However, you are able to transfer your ticket to another team member at your practice to attend.

What attire should be worn at the event?

Business casual attire is recommended. Bring a jacket or sweater as the ballroom is kept at a cool temperature!

Chris Pittman, M.D., is CEO of Health Performance Specialists, has over 25 years of medical practice and management experience, is a 24-year cancer survivor, and is a nationally recognized expert in health care policy and politics, medical economics, and health information technology including EMR, medical informatics, and telemedicine.

Cassandra Wilcoxson

Director of Operations

Cassandra Wilcoxson is the Network Manager of Health Performance Specialist and has over 15 years in the service and healthcare industries. She is extremely aware of the intersection between the clinical, billing, and experience portions of the healthcare industry.

Karen Gonzalez Pittman

M.Ed, Vice-President of Public Affairs

Karen Gonzalez Pittman is Vice President of Public Affairs for Health Performance Specialists, where she leads strategic communications, government relations, and stakeholder engagement. She also serves as a Florida State Representative, where she champions legislation to advance healthcare quality and patient safety.

David Shimkus

Vice-President of Sales

Dave is the Vice President of Sales at Health Performance Specialists and brings more than 31 years of experience in sales, marketing, and strategic communication. In his role, Dave works closely with physicians and practice leaders to drive growth, improve patient engagement, and help practices reach more patients effectively and ethically.

Chris Pittman, M.D., is CEO of Health Performance Specialists, has over 25 years of medical practice and management experience, is a 21-year cancer survivor, and is a nationally recognized expert in health care policy and politics, medical economics, and health information technology including EMR, medical informatics, and telemedicine.

Thomas Cunningham, M.D.

Executive Committee Member
Dr. Cunningham has performed thousands of minimally invasive, catheter-based, and ultrasound-guided vascular procedures. Dr. Cunningham’s focus is on treating patients with varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency, edema, venous stasis, and/or leg ulcers.

Eric Phillippi, M.D.

Dr. Eric Phillippi grew up in the Milwaukee suburb of Menomonee Falls before moving to Madison in 2004 for his education. He has both undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, completing his Doctor of Medicine in 2014.

Peter Ford, MD, FACS, RPVI

Dr. Peter Ford is a fellowship-trained vascular surgeon and owner of Vascular Solutions. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, he brings decades of expertise in diagnosing and treating complex vein conditions. A former UNC faculty member and published researcher, Dr. Ford is known for his patient-first approach and commitment to delivering advanced, evidence-based vein care.

C. Allyson Walker, MS, MD

Dr. C. Allyson Walker is the founder of Vein-ity, a boutique vein care center where she blends compassionate care with deep expertise in vein health. She holds a medical degree and a Master’s in Physiology from the Medical University of South Carolina, and completed residencies in General and Cardiothoracic Surgery. Board-certified in Thoracic Surgery and licensed in multiple states, Dr. Walker offers extensive surgical experience and a patient-focused approach to care.

Thomas E. Eidson, DO

Dr. Thomas E. Eidson is a board-certified Phlebologist and founder of Atlas Vein Care, where he specializes exclusively in treating venous and lymphatic conditions in the legs. He holds certifications from both the American Board of Osteopathic Family Physicians and the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine, and has safely performed thousands of vein procedures since completing his fellowship in 2011.

Marc Abernethy

Marc Abernethy earned his Master of Business Administration from Xavier University while working at IBM. His career includes experience with multiple startups, followed by 16 years at Medtronic, where he held leadership roles as a Sales Representative and District Business Manager.
